There’s Always Room at the Table

Growing up, I never really understood the idea of needing an invitation to visit someone’s home.

People would arrive without notice. Sometimes they didn’t even know the family they were visiting. Someone might have simply told them, “If you ever pass through, make sure you stop by and say hello.”

And they would.

It didn’t matter where they came from, what they believed or whether we’d met them before. There was always space at the table, something to eat and someone ready to welcome them.

For me, this wasn’t anything extraordinary. It was simply how we lived.

That spirit has stayed with me and is a big part of what I wanted to bring to Amber.

Whether you’re joining us for a quick lunch, dinner with friends or a celebration with twenty people around the table, the idea is the same.

You don’t need to know us to feel welcome.

Whoever you are, wherever you come from, there will always be a place at our table, food to share and a warm, generous welcome.
